About Steve »

Steve is a 21 year old student born in the Promise Land, aka New Jersey. His family moved to Central Florida in 1990, where's he's been residing ever since. Steve first fell in love with the Orlando Magic when he went to one of their first games. He was born into a family that is OBSESSED with the New York Yankees...and that has never changed!

Steve has played basketball for the better part of 15 years, but due to a terrible back injury he has been limited to playing just in his spare time. He is currently taking a year off, but still is pursuing his dream to be a professional sports writer.

The Shortlist »

  • Favorite Athletes

Derek Jeter, Bernie Williams, Darrell Armstrong, JJ Redick and Dwight Howard

  • Favorite Sports Teams

New York Yankees, Orlando Magic, Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Giants

  • All Time Sports Moment

I have to put more than one: Aaron Boone's infamous home run against the Red Sox in the 2003 ALCS, Dwight Howard's buzzer beating alley-oop against the Spurs and Plaxico Burress' game winning touchdown catch for the Gaints against the Patriots in the Superbowl

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

Steve Francis' game winning, buzzer beating layup in the opening game for the Orlando Magic against the Milwaukee Bucks in 2004.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

A year ago, I would have said Walt Chamberlain's 100 points-in-a-game record, but then Kobe got 81. I would have to say most career home runs in a World Series by Mickey Mantle with 18.

  • Ruth or Mays?

While Ruth is still one of the best offensive players the game has ever seen, Mays is still one of the best all-around players ever to play professional baseball.

  • Unitas or Montana?

    Unitas

  • Pele or Maradona?

    Pele

  • Pac 10, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, or Big East?

    SEC, baby!

Hey Steve—Dave Mo here, a Bleacher Report Community Coordinator.

I've been spending time on our Magic page and read a couple of your old articles. Really on-point analysis...you do good work.

Given that you haven't written in a while, I thought I'd check in and see if you're interested in picking up your coverage again. What do you say?

If not, it would be great if you could give me some feedback on why you decided to stop writing and what we could have done to better serve you. If you wouldn't mind, please shoot me a line at dmorrison@bleacherreport.com with any thoughts.

Thanks so much,

Dave Mo

Hey Steve,

I just wanted to let you know that Bleacher Report has launched out of beta with an updated look and feel and some great new features. Check out the "Game On" link in the header to find out more.

Next week we'll be launching the site to the world with some public announcements—and it'd be great to get a contribution from you between now and Tuesday to make Bleacher Report's launch a success.

Let me know if you need any help with ideas or have questions. Have a great weekend Steve!
