I've been an athlete my entire life. 2 time all-conference all area-basketball player in high school in the Northern suburbs of Chicago. Also was the captain of the football team and was tied for 2nd in the county with 5 interceptions junior year. didn't play senior year to focus on Bball. Played D3 basketball in Iowa for a very successful program and was the teammate of a D3 all-american. Started junior year and was a senior captian my final year. senior year was 1st team all defense.

Basically I know sports and I love Chicago Sports..enough to where my girlfriend hates me on sundays when the Bears lose because I'm depressed so much. Cubs i'm used to losing. Bulls, I'm watch win or lose!! I do love Illinois Illini football and basketball, but has been rough ever since the Rose Bowl and the National Championship.

Currently in Grad School in Iowa for Clinical Psychology...also have a coaching minor.

I'm a humble guy, just showing my credentials for B.R. to have some backup in what I say.

    Hey travis,

    I love it when I get a chance to talk to folks who are as passionate about illini sports as I am! And to be honest with you, I don't think I can compete with you naming your cat after the orange and blue! Now thats commitment! Great question about the scholarship. We WILL get another scholarship once Head officially transfers. I would expect the coaching staff to pursue another player for this coming recruiting class, but don't be surprised if they save it for next year. They haven't been pursuing any more players for this year's class because they didn't know Crandall would transfer (obviously) so it'll be tough to secure a guy halfway through his senior season. Hope that helps!
