About Nathan »

University of North Carolina graduate, 2007.

Married to a South Carolina alum (a split household) and proud father of three Bulldogs -- two English and one French.

U.S. Army Combat Medic 2002 - 2006 [3rd ID (Mech)] with two tours in Iraq. I served with the Mortar Platoon of 1/64 Ar Bn and the tours were 2003 (until August -- the initial war) and Jan '05 - Jan '06.

I have a passion for sports and write as a hobby, though I appreciate any opportunity to share my thoughts with others. If you disagree with my perspective, let's have a rational discussion about it; a good debate can be a healthy thing.

I'm currently a Performance Improvement and Outcomes Analyst for a major transplant center. Though I'm a general sports enthusiast, the sports I follow most closely are NCAAF, NCAAB (Men's and Women's), NFL, NHL, and NASCAR.

It's time to get restarted here on B/R as the CBB season swings into full gear. GO HEELS!

"Talent hits a target [that] no one else can hit. Genius hits a target [that] no one else can see."

- 19th century German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer

I'm doing it a little different this time. Check out my review of the tragic sports-related deaths in 2009. I touched on some of the biggest so far.

Please join me in discussing this tough subject by providing comments and helping to make this article a featured article on Bleacher Report.

Hey there!
Today, I go back in time ten years ago in which the All Star Game was celebrated at Fenway Park in Boston. Arguably the most emotional All Star Game of all time as we celebrated a legend in Ted Williams who would not be with us much longer. But throughout the game, Williams' farewell had truly inspired the AL to win this game. Take a look back as I run down this historic game

Feedback is always appreciated
