"It was a bitter blow for Nigeria, but France weren't done." Really? I cry tears for you, a writer, if you believe that this is correct grammar. Is there no editor who reviews your work?

    Hey Michael,

Just wanted to let you know that I'm a big fan of your work. Just wanted to let you know about this article I saw about cocky athletes who got their comeuppance, and I thought you'd get a kick out of it.

Anyways, keep up the good work.

I don't want to bother you too much with Eredivisie news but Jozy Altidore has just won the 'KNVB beker' (national cup) in the final, in which he scored one goal.

Calling Rubio Rubent an American football talent was a bit unlucky. I actually meant American soccer talent. I usually don't use the word soccer. Not out of stupid principles btw.

Hey Mike, I can tell from your profile picture that you have an affection for the USA national team. So I thought you might like to hear that a Eredivisie team by the name FC Utrecht is testing American football talent Rubio Rubent (O.G. from Portland Timbers). From what I read he's doing really well (scoring and assisting in a 0-2 test-win against low-tier team sc Huizen), so hopefully he'll be playing in Utrecht next season.
