About

My name is Steven Cordero. I'm 17 years old and currently attending high school in Brooklyn, NY. I'm of Ecuadorian decsent, though my ancestry traces back to the Spain. I'm a huge sports fanatic, I can watch almost any sport. I have a wide range of favorite teams and athletes. The leagues I follow thoroughly are MLB, NFL, NBA, La Liga, and the English Premier League.

The New York Giants are my favorite football team, I can thank my father for raising me as one. I try to watch every game, every week.

The New York Mets are my favorite baseball team, my grandfather made sure I became a Mets fan, as I would always watch their games with him.

The Los Angeles Lakers are my favorite basketball team. I sort of found my way to them on my own, I was never pushed to be a Knicks fan, and the Lakers were always on TV. Soon after Kobe Bryant became my favorite player, and I've been loyal ever since.

My favorite soccer (football) team is FC Barcelona. I can thank my grandfather again for making me into a huge Barca fan. I also support Manchester United (though no where near to the same extent as Barca), my father has followed them in recent years and much of my extended family are fans of United, so I hold a soft spot for them. Other clubs that I watch when I can and support are the New York Red Bulls and Barcelona Sporting Club. I also support the U.S. Men's, Ecuadorian, and Spanish National Football Teams.

I also watch college football and basketball, but I support no team/school in particular. Though I do root for the Big East in general.

I also watch Tennis when the Grand Slams come around each year. Rafael Nadal is my favorite player.

I'm not much of a hockey guy, but I guess I consider myself a supporter of the New York Rangers.

Hello Steven. I doubt Van Persie, Bale or Hazard will be coming to the Camp Nou. Too expensive and I believe this is the year that the defense gets rebuild. Look for Jordi Alba to move to Barcelona. Marc Muniesa will slowly move into the regular formation along with Martin Montoya (who is the eventual replacement for Dani Alves). Don't be surprised to see Barcelona go after Iñigo Martínez from Real Sociedad as well. He is a good young defender and would be much cheaper than Thiago Silva or Mats Hummels.

I hear the same rumors about Neymar as well. I could see him being there next year but only if he demands Santos to move him early. Another player that could come to Barcelona is Lucas Ocampos as I mentioned in my previous article.

I will hit on who's out soon in another article I am working on.

Thanks for the comments Steven. Hit me up anytime.

    Visca el Barça!

Thanks a lot, Steven! Glad you like La Liga. I will continue to write about the league that deserves more attention in the States.

Sorry, I said almost because when I went to my fan you're name disappeared. I assumed you became a fan and then decided better of it haha. Glad to see you're sticking with me ;-).

I actually have a new one out right now. Feel free to check it out and comment:

Hello Steven. Thanks for the comments. In my opinion, I think Jordi Alba to Barcelona is the rumor most likely to happen. He knows the system, he knows many of the players, and his style of play fits FCB. The rumor I personally would like to see happen is Thiago Silva to FCB. He really is what the club needs; a young, strong defender who is also great at headers as well. It could happen but it may cost too much money.

Neymar may end up in Barcelona this summer. Neymar has talked about Barcelona a lot these past few weeks and he may end up asking Santos to send him to FCB. I think Neymar would fit very well but in order to bring in Neymar, FCB would have to sell David Villa to make room for him. Barcelona spent a lot of cash on Villa and they may be reluctant to sell him after only 2 years. It'd be a bad investment like the Ibrahimovic deal was.

Thanks for the comments Steven. Hit me up anytime. Always appreciated. - Xoel
