Born and raised in Toronto, I have been a Leafs fan since birth. I tried to root for other teams, I really did, especially during the dark days of Harold Ballard, but it just didn't work. I always come back to the blue and white. When they finally win the cup I think I will savour it more than anyone. OK, well, probably there are thousands more just like me who will enjoy it just as much. I get a huge kick out of writing articles on the Leafs. Its pretty much making the wait bearable. Just.

Hey Mark
The Raptors have made another move however, I don’t agree with this one!
Here’s my take on the player they should have acquired Jodie Meeks.
Comments and critiques are always welcomed

Aki Berg? Oh boy that took me back, and i remember the hype when they traded for him.. oh the former #3 pick... what a waste. The leafs have needed to and still need to improve their scouting dept in order to have a chance.. im just wondering out loud why do you never hear about teams raiding the DET staff...they seem to hit on the mass majority of their late picks.. it's the 1st rounders that concern me
Mark,
Sorry for the delay, who knew computer servers needed so much attention on the weekend?! LOL anyhow I agree with your assessment i just felt that we could have gotten some type of young player from them.. even one of the "long shots" would have been something. I am excited about the kids as well especially Bozak, Ive heard nothing but positive things about him for some time so much like you i wait in anticipation, i wonder whatever happened to stephan kronwall, i thought he was suppose to be our Zedno Chara?

Instead of killing Gene's page with our discussion, i say we cont on the BB.
Well im not sure if he would have been lost on waivers, i would put Finger on Waivers before anything LOL ( i know not possible as no one would pick him up) But for a 2nd rounder, and hopefully a better scouting system the Leafs can start to pick up the Forwards, not too sure about this year's draft pick but again, any offense is better than none. I hope we hold on that Stajan, as i think that he is a good 3rd line, with 2nd line potential-player. Now do you think we should have gotten Primeau instead of some other player from CAL.?

Hey Mark,
Hockey Hall of Famer Scott Stevens' career ended kind of awkwardly. In January of 2004 he missed a few games with the flu and then was diagonsed with Post-Concussion-Syndrome and missed the rest of the season. He would never play again as a lockout wiped out the following season and then his official retirement in September of 2005. Truly one of the greats and my favorite athlete of all-time, I don't feel I have ever honored him the way he earned and I really hope I did it with this article- http://bleacherreport.com/articles/172153-scott-stevens-forever-beloved-forever-hated-and-forever-remembered
Let me know what you think if you get a chance, if not no worries.
Hey I wrote an article on the current state of NHL writers on Bleacher Report and I think it's an important read to members of the community. Take a look when you get a chance. Thanks.
