About

I am a 23-year-old sports journalist currently working for Bradford Bulls, York City, Forty-20 rugby league magazine and now Bleacher Report.

I have worked for the Bradford Bulls since 2009 as a features writer for the club's matchday programme. Over the past three seasons I have come up with a number of articles including; 'My dream thirteen', 'Dateline', 'Bradford Bulls A-Z' and 'The Super League years'. I also contribute to the programme with an interview with one of the squad and I have interviewed many famous names such as Steve Menzies and Paul Deacon.

Just prior to the 2010-2011 season I started to work for York City Football Club by writing match reports for the club's official website. As well as writing match reports I also interview one of the squad for the club's matchday programme.

As well as my work at Bradford and at York I also contribute to Forty-20 rugby league magazine on a freelance basis. One of the biggest talking points of the year in rugby league was concerning the franchise announcement at the end of July. In the second issue of the magazine you can find my interview with Halifax Chairman Michael Steele after his club were denied their place in Super League.

With experience of working for two sport clubs I am now looking to enhance my credentials by working for Bleacher Report. On the website I will be mainly covering football across a variety of teams and leagues and I may also branch out into another sport to gain more experience.

Hi Rob, just to let you know the Steed Malbranque story has been denied by Malbranque. He does not have a son, but two young daughters. The story is a result of rumours on twitter and journalists not confirming the story before printing it as fact.
