Nate works for ESPN Sports Radio 1080 The Fan in Portland, Oregon.

Nate was born in Portland, Oregon where he lived until moving to Los Angeles. In high school he competed and garnered national rankings in Public Speaking. After high school, he continued his study of speech by coaching a nationally ranked Public Speaking team and judging nationally. He continued to coach Public Speaking at the collegiate level at Portland State University. Later he went on to major in Communications and Business, graduating with Lambda Pi Eta honors with the NCA from PSU.

After college, from 2008-2011, he was the Producer of The Frank Pastore Show on 99.5 KKLA FM in Los Angeles - America's Largest Christian Talk Show. For three years he produced this fast-paced, drive-time show to more than 200,000 people daily. It was the winner of the 2010 National Show of the Year.

Nate is an avid college football fan. He has stepped on the fields of many famous stadiums: Michigan Stadium (Michigan,) Memorial Stadium (Oklahoma,) Tiger Stadium (LSU,) Neyland Stadium (Tennessee,) Bryant–Denny Stadium (Alabama,) Notre Dame Stadium (Notre Dame,) Memorial Stadium (Nebraska,) Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (Florida,) Doak Campbell Stadium (Florida State,) Razorback Stadium (Arkansas,) Ohio Stadium (Ohio State,) Wallace Wade Stadium (Duke,) Autzen Stadium (Oregon,) TCF Bank Stadium (Minnesota,) Reser Stadium (Oregon State,) Bronco Stadium (Boise State,) Sun Devil Stadium (Arizona St.,) Rose Bowl (UCLA,) LA Memorial Coliseum (USC,) Husky Stadium (Washington,) Kenan Memorial Stadium (North Carolina,) Orange Bowl and Sun Life Stadium (Miami.)

He has also stood on the star at the old Texas Stadium (Dallas Cowboys,) grabbed both rims at Cameron Indoor Arena (Duke University,) taken some of the grass from Candlestick Park in San Francisco and touched the ice at Olympic Center Arena in Lake Placid where the "Miracle on Ice" took place.
