Sports fanatic with a talent for writing. I grew up in VA, but my Dad's from Stow (kudos if you know where that is!) so he raised me on the Sox, the Pats, and the Celtics. It's not something you can escape, three sisters and only one has managed to, but she doesn't know if a basketball is stuffed or inflated so I don't know if that counts.
I studied media arts (television and movie production, editing, etc., etc.) and art history in college. Yes, I am a nerd. I like to take a light approach to everything, even if you are ripping someone apart in an article, there should be some good humor in it.
For me, writing is not something you do, it's a cathartic experience where thoughts, feelings, and occasionally completely random nonsense come out in a way that can engage and amuse others. (told you, nerd!)
I am a spin doctor (not a DJ, like the political kind) and I can talk you into just about anything. Except, apparently, letting me have a job over someone who didn't just graduate. (Yay recession) I love the NBA, the NFL, MLB, Olympics, CAA, NCAA (two different things), and pretty much anything else you want to squeeze in there.
I root for the James Madison University Dukes (FCS), I watch cross-country skiing, nordic combine, the biathlon, and yes, sometimes I even watch curling.

Hey, I wrote a piece on whether or not fans are right to keep booing Derek Jeter.
I'd appreciate your thoughts.

With Patriots training camp just around the corner, check out some of the most intriguing position battles to keep an eye on this summer!
Coming back from the All Star Game, the Red Sox look ready to make a run at another world series. Currently on track for 99 wins, they definitely have a good shot. My review on the first half (and as always feedback is appreciated!):
A Boston fan's dream weekend. Check it out!
Today, I go back in time ten years ago in which the All Star Game was celebrated at Fenway Park in Boston. Arguably the most emotional All Star Game of all time as we celebrated a legend in Ted Williams who would not be with us much longer. But throughout the game, Williams' farewell had truly inspired the AL to win this game. Take a look back as I run down this historic game
Feedback is always appreciated
Pedro Martinez's activity during All-Star week has not been the type I would have once predicted. What about you?
After the great success of my first article about the uniform numbers 1-10, I have come back with the next installment, with the best players to wear the uniform numbers 11-20. I hope you can take a look and even comment on my choices. Thanks in advance!
