Sara's Bio

Sports fanatic with a talent for writing. I grew up in VA, but my Dad's from Stow (kudos if you know where that is!) so he raised me on the Sox, the Pats, the Bruins and the Celtics. While I've never really gotten into hockey, I love football and baseball and have recently discovered a love of basketball. I love to write and when I graduate I want to work in sports broadcasting (I know, I am so not a girl!), and eventually I would love to work for NESN (New England Sports Network) so I can be near all my favorite teams and do what I love.
I also am a big college football/hoops fan. I attend James Madison University, and I will always and forever support my JMU Dukes!

  5. Hey Sara,

Coming back from the All Star Game, the Red Sox look ready to make a run at another world series. Currently on track for 99 wins, they definitely have a good shot. My review on the first half (and as always feedback is appreciated!):

  6. Hi Sara-
A Boston fan's dream weekend. Check it out!

  7. Hey there!
Today, I go back in time ten years ago in which the All Star Game was celebrated at Fenway Park in Boston. Arguably the most emotional All Star Game of all time as we celebrated a legend in Ted Williams who would not be with us much longer. But throughout the game, Williams' farewell had truly inspired the AL to win this game. Take a look back as I run down this historic game

    Feedback is always appreciated

  8. Pedro Martinez's activity during All-Star week has not been the type I would have once predicted. What about you?

  9. Hey,

After the great success of my first article about the uniform numbers 1-10, I have come back with the next installment, with the best players to wear the uniform numbers 11-20. I hope you can take a look and even comment on my choices. Thanks in advance!

  10. Hey,

The turmoil surrounding the 1977 Yankees earned them the nickname of “The Bronx Zoo.” The current 2009 Yankees have an interesting blend of leaders and pranksters, so I decided to create a LITERAL “zoo.”

Check out what animal each Yankee would be reincarnated as in a next life.

    Thanks everyone!

  11. Hey,

It’s been a very long time since I have extended an article of mine to the Bulletin Boards of my friends/fans, but this one is filled with the true venom and passion of a frustrated Yankees fan. The days of consistent success are over, and this baseball lifer is blaming Brian Cashman. Read how he has displayed the baseball knowledge of a little leaguer in assembling Yankee teams of the last 7 years.

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/207148-yankees-gm-brian-cashman-nothing-more-than-an-infinite-checking-account

I would love to hear your feedback on this one. Thanks everyone!

  12. Something different, a story about a man in a chicken suit.

Sara, given that your profile photo is you with a mascot, you might appreciate this.

  13. Hey,

Read about a metaphoric but also personalized tale about a cocky Yankees fan realizing the harsh realities and lessons of professional athletics. I would love to hear your opinions.

  14. Hey,

The Yankees have been putrid against Boston this year, especially over a 3-game sweep in Fenway Park. They are returning to the scene of the crime tonight, and this slideshow highlights 5 major reasons why this time around could be very different:

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/195593-yankees-turn-the-page-top-5-reasons-this-trip-to-fenway-wont-be-dj-vu

I would love to hear your feedback and input, and I look forward to talking to you soon. Thanks in advance!
