Unless you've been tracking sports under a rock the past decade or so, you have probably read a Bill Simmons article. The post probably left you with mixed emotions: "What was he trying to write a NOVEL?!?!?!"; "Damn this guy's pretty funny"; "NO-MAH!!!!!!" OK so you probably didn't think the last one, unless of course, you're a die-hard Red Sox fan who still has a man crush on the retired shortstop...then you probably did.
Anyways, most people don't know it, but everyone wants to be Bill Simmons. Deep down, you never wanted to be a pro baseball player or an astronaut...you wanted to be Simmons. Think about it, a 40-something Average Joe gets to poke fun at Isaiah Thomas on a weekly basis. Oh, and he gets paid for it. What a life.
**This page used to be a St. Louis Cardinals blog and Sports blog.
I'm def closer to Simmons footsteps than you. . . . . Just sayn!

Cardinals look poised to take a crack at another World Series. In fact I have come up with a Joe Maddoneque slogan 2009 = 2006

The class of 2009 doesn't have the next MJ or Bron, but it might have the next A.I. or Kidd. I did some prospect to pro comparisons.
