Currently a 23-year-old student. I've played sports my entire life, but oscillated between considering basketball and soccer as my first love. It tends to shift with time, as I am renowned for changing, but at the moment it has to be soccer. The sport that I'd grown up playing with some interest took on an entire new meaning during my year abroad in Paris, during the 2009-10 academic year.
I'll never forget how a football match literally comes alive when viewed in the European cathedrals. From the Stade de France, to Parc des Princes, to observing a Paris St Germain training session, the intensity and fervor with which fans follow their teams over there is unparalleled.
There was no greater feeling than finding sanctuary in my favorite pub by the Pantheon from the bitter Parisien winter on a Champions League game night. Amid the mix of clinking pint glasses, subtle wafting of cigarette smoke from outside, and lively chatter, it was an unforgettable setting. The roar after a goal, or the collective groan after conceding one, seared itself into my memory.
I'm excited to have the opportunity to copy edit for Bleacher Report. Sportswriting has always been a passion of mine—next best thing to playing sports, after all, is writing about them—and I look forward to this experience.

No problem. I forgot to say: good analysis.
No sweat, Matt. Glad I could help.
No problem, Matthew. Best of luck!
You're welcome, Matthew! Always glad to help. :)
Thanks Matt. Means a lot.
What do you feel about this as an Arsenal transfer list:
- Leighton Baines - Good first choice left-back till Gibbs gets better
- Tony Jantscke - A more capable back-up for Sagna and good competition for Jenkinson
- Kim Kallstrom - A man who could play in any of our midfield slots and gives us the lon range shooting ability we so desperately need.
You're welcome!
'Twas my pleasure.
Haha that's pretty funny. I grew up in France and studied abroad there last year and my apartment overlooked the Arenes so I was there quite a bit :)
Sir yes sir!
