Have you read any Zane Grey? He wrote about the American West too, and had a cabin on the Rogue River near where I live.
Winchester rifles have always been some of the best. My wife had a Model '94 lever-action 30-30 when we met. Burned up in a fire a few years ago :-(
I too, love old things. The stories they could tell...

Hello AVR
Good to see you around BR again. Have you been gone or am I just out of touch?
In this part of the world, collectibles are available, but one must pay. Sometimes one can find a treasure in an old garage or attic.
My neighbor lady (recently widowed)asked me to please remove a gun her husband had hidden in a closet. It was a 1908 Colt vest-pocket pistol. I offered to pay but she insisted I "just get it out of here".
A very nice old collectible! Still works fine, too.
Good to hear from you!

DeleteHey,
Following up yesterday's great debate is the one I've been waiting to write for a long time, and the one I think may be the best debate yet and a must-read for any football fan! Should video technology be introduced into football? Would doing so take away from the 'magic' that makes the game so great? And would it help or hinder the referees? Have your say in the Great Debate!
