Mike grew up in Atlanta, Georgia before relocating to Houston, Texas in 1993. This has led to him being a diehard fan of sports franchises from both cities. He graduated from the University of Houston in 2001 with a major in business finance.

Mike began writing for the Houston Texans and Houston Rockets for SB Nation in 2007 and his other ventures include stints with the Fanball Network as well as Bloguin. Mike is currently the Featured Columnist for the Houston Texans for Bleacher Report and also contributes at The Pigskin Report, which is affiliated with FOX Sports and Yardbarker.
