I Am a full time student and Spartan fan. I love all sports, but I generally think that college sports are better the Pro sports as college kids play for the love of the game, not the love of money. I think that Wal-Mart wolverines are the worst fans in all of sports.
Unfortunately I didn't get to see the game either but have it recorded at home so I will see it when I get home from college. We do have something to build on considering it was our back-up The Spartans did shed it for this year. Whether it will continue throughout many seasons is yet to be seen. They have made me a believer for this season if they continue it for the next two years I believe they can become a power in the Big Ten once again. This has helped their in-state recruiting and that looks to keep up but one of the top prospects in the state is already committed to michigan while Michigan State already has one of the top linebackers in the state committed. That is what I'm really interested in seeing.
What a GREAT showing by that defense. I was really excited by it. Denson looked great, Brandon Long set up camp in the backfield, and Greg Jones was everywhere as usual. I can't wait until the Penn State game.
I don't have a preview planned as of yet. Would you be interested in doing a joint one?
I'm not writing MSU off yet Matt. Even though I'm a Michigan fan I grew up with an older brother who was a MSU fan and their season is looking remarkably familiar. Start strong knock off one of the weak Big Ten teams and then begin to tumble. If they lose today then I think it might be safe to say its gonna be like all the rest. Should be a good game today Go Blue.
Thanks for the pick, Matt. Not quite sure what Ryan is talking about below...one loss does not make a late-season collapse.
Ok please tell me what props MSU deserves because there season is starting to look like it always does. Start out strong and then begin to fall once they get to their difficult Big Ten Schedule.
Great debut article, man. Go green!
