About

I have been listening and watching the LA Dodgers since the mid fifties. In 1959 my family moved to California and my interest in 'Dodger Baseball' became an obsession. Like many fans, I learned the intellectual/strategy side of the game listening to Vin Sculley. Every year, a few days after Christmas I start the count down to spring training. I live in Chile, a truly non baseball country; I am saved by MLB on the web, and extra innings on DirecTV.
I try to watch at least one game of every team, and have started following minor league teams and players.
Baseball is my only sports interest.

As a community leader for the Los Angeles Dodgers, I'd like to welcome you to Bleacher Report and hope you will enjoy the time you spend here. There are a lot of good baseball minds who's writing you should enjoy.

I invite you to read others columns and make comments, for that is a good way to connect with people and get more attention to your articles. Keep in mind not everyone will agree, but spirited debate with respect is encouraged.

A minor detail, in your Bio, you've spelled Vin Scully's name with an e. The bio is something that can be easily edited and changed over time, I've adjusted mine about half a dozen times.

Welcome again Doug, I look forward to reading more of your writing.
