I was born and raised in South Omaha, Nebraska. I grew up listening to Jim Rose on the radio every Saturday unless we were fortunate enough to get a televised game. I joined the Marine Corps in 2003 and have had to follow the Cornhuskers while serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom twice and Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan). I am married to a Nebraska native and we have three children, one boy and two girls. My girls were born in Okinawa, Japan where we were stationed for three years. While in Japan I often woke at two or three in the morning to listen to the Huskers via internet.
