About

I suppose I have been a bit of a drifter during my years. I went to college straight out of high school because I was supposed to. After a year I dropped out to pursue a career in music. Looking back, it sounds incredibly naive but I had the time of my life. Over that period I met everyone I consider a close friend today while touring all over the country playing music. I hit 25, however, and came to the quick realization that there is no way to make a career out of it and stumbled back to college. That is where I reside today as a proud Finance senior at the University of Oklahoma. Writing has always been a fun hobby of mine, but after coming across this site I decided to combine it with my previously useless wealth of sports knowledge. Score!

    Watching the 2004 Red River Rivalry six rows behind the Longhorn bench. Jason White and Adrian Peterson vs. Vince Young and Cedric Benson. I was right behind Cedric and we heckled him into moving to the other side of the bench as a freshamn AD broke off 225 yards in a 12-0 Sooners win.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

    56 game hitting streak. Did you know after he ended the streak he went on an 18-game streak? Can you imagine?!?!

  • Ruth or Mays?

    Mays could do anything the Babe could do. Not vice versa.

  • Unitas or Montana?

    Montana. More entertaining.

  • Jordan or Russell?

    Jordan. Too young to appreciate Russell unfortunately.

  • Gretzky or Orr?

    Gretzky. See above.

  • Pele or Maradona?

    Maradona's most famous goal was a handball. Enough said.

  • Federer or Sampras?

    Nadal!

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

    The Golden Bear. Tiger is anything but golden nowadays.

  • Petty or Earnhardt?

    RIP Dale.

  • Schumacher or Senna?

    Senna. As time goes on it gets harder to dominate.

  • ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 or SEC?

    Sooner born and Sooner bred. When I die I'll be Sooner dead.

    Hey Eric, thanks for asking. The em-dash is the longest type of dash and is created by typing SHIFT-OPTION-(dash) on a Mac and ALT-0151 on a PC (hold down ALT while typing 0151 on the numeric keypad). If you're working on a PC without a numeric keypad, you'll have to copy and paste em-dashes as necessary.
