I’ve been a member of the Bleacher Report community since August of 2011. At that time, I started B/R’s sports editing internship. After completion of the internship, I joined Bleacher Report as a part-time copy editor in October of 2011, where I’ve worked ever since.
I’m also a featured columnist with B/R, focusing mainly on the Sacramento Kings and also the NBA as a whole. It’s a position I’ve held since March of 2012.
In addition to my work at Bleacher Report, I’m also a reporter for The Union Democrat in Sonora, Calif., covering mostly high school sports. I’ve been with the newspaper since August of 2010. My writing has also been featured in The Stockton Record of Stockton, Calif.
When I’m not writing for Bleacher Report or The Union Democrat I’m posting articles at my own personal website: SimRisso.com.
A bit more about myself: I received a BA in History from Sonoma State University. While in college, I hosted a sports radio show on KSUN, which is the university’s radio station.
If you’d like to contact me, you can follow me on Twitter @SimRisso or send me a message via my Bleacher Report profile.
Hey Sim, thanks for the thorough editing you gave to my piece on the MLB offseason. Very much appreciated!
Sim, thanks for the edits. I really appreciate them.
Thanks for the edits! Appreciate the knowledge. Sorry about the minor errors, 6k words later at 4 AM I must have missed those! Thanks again man, and the Kings are a cool team to cover. I remember C-Webb and Jason Williams back in the day.
Thanks for the edits today Sim. Much appreciated.
Hi - I know you are editing my article. I finally found the link I wanted for Ramona Shelburne and Dave McMenamin predicting 48 and 44 wins for the Lakers. It should be this: http://espn.go.com/nba/preview2013/story/_/page/5-on-5-1314lal/2013-14-outlook-los-angeles-lakers
Please advise. Thanks!
So I'm sitting here reading through NBA-related articles on Bleacher Report and I come to find that a friend of mine from childhood, literally 20 years ago, is an established contributor! Congrats, Sim! Great to see you working in the sports world!
Thanks for the edits!
Thanks for the edits and praise, Sim!
Awesome, Sim. Thanks for cleaning up that Niners piece for me. Everything looks great. Appreciate it!
Thank you for the edit Sim.
Have you ever thought of starting your own city? If you do, I have a GREAT suggestion for what you could name it.
