Hey man, thanks for that. It seems you always seem to get the articles of mine that I'm not too high on haha...kinda strange that was I guess.

Anyhow, it's just one thing too, the 'Beyond the Bleacher' tab can stay with the article when you edit it. I'm one of the writers for that strand of the site, so I'm not posing and trying to put them where I shouldn't haha :)

Thanks for the read, and comments on the article Ryan. You're an editing mad man! Thank you. good to see various hockey fans on this site btw. My grandfather, and father are in the Hokcey Hall of Fame, in Toronto. My grand-pop was sent to the US from Toronto, to start and then manage the now, Syracuse Crunch. That was in the 1930s. They went on to win The Calder Cup, afterwards the league was suspended due to WW2. His team (Syracuse) was then bought by Buffalo, who became the Bisons, and are now the ....Sabres! Thought you'd find it interesting. More articles to come, so much to report on, so little time. I welcome any input you may have, as you ave proven yourself through quality inputs, time and time again. Thank you again.

Dude thank you for that...immensely haha. I was in a slight rush today as I had to work and then umpire, and when I copy and pasted from Word (I wrote this last night) it kept dropping stuff...needless to say I fixed it up where I noticed stuff, but I'm not surprised I missed something!

Ryan, thanks for the read and the style help. I'm not sure why some of my images didn't transfer straight over. Thanks also for removing some of the tags that inexplicably showed up. New York Yankees I understood. Texas Rangers? I have no idea how that one came up.

I agree with Jennifer about the short paragraphs, though it does make it easier on the eyes. The m-dashes aren't even supposed to be visible because my blog has a black background, so thanks for changing those.

However, I can't seem to change the image at the top. I want it to be the regular Pirates logo, because my other option (the current image) is former manager Jim Tracy who was fired in the offseason. However, when I select the image, it tells me to click the close button at the bottom of the page to confirm, but there is none. At least not in Mozilla.

Right now, I'm a college composition instruction and these are issues I have to fight with my students over every day. Maybe that's why I go into full on rant mode about these topics.

I guess that I disagree with the multiple two sentence paragraphs. It feels far too choppy and I really think it disrupts the flow of thoughts. I can understand this if it were strictly for journalistic purposes (i.e. editing for space) but this is not meant to be strictly journalistic, nor are we required to edit for space. Also, our readers are all grown-ups and I think it insults everybody's intelligence by insisting that we have to stick to multiple short paragraphs in order to keep interest. There. I'm done with my rant. Again, it's the comp teacher in me. It has nothing to do with you personally.

I've always kinda liked the Blues...they just have a kinda classy feel....but I'm almost positive that the rebuilding process will be a) longer b)more frustrating and c) way too over publicized here in toronto....it's a very frustrating sports market to live and (hopefully in the future) work in!

Thanks for the note. I think you misunderstood me. First, I didn't say L.A. was an "amazing sports city". It's not Buffalo, Green Bay or Cleveland, but what separates L.A. from those other cities is it's diversity. You're using a rating based solely on loyalty and enthusiasm and I'm telling you that it's great for different reasons. Most people in Buffalo can't have a conversation about the 49ers or Chargers. I guarantee there are conversations going on in L.A. right now about those two teams somewhere.

L.A. doesn't have a football team because the fans didn't support the ones that left. L.A. lost both of those teams because of greedy owners who received big money to move their teams to new cities. It was purely based on that.

St. Louis paid Georgia Frontiere a lot of money to move the Rams to St. Louis and Al Davis got guarantees from Oakland for the number of tickets sold as well as personal seat license money. Frontiere didn't regret the move but Al Davis certainly has. He even took the NFL to court, claiming that he still owns the territorial rights to the city for an NFL team.

If Davis could get out of his lease in Oakland he would move the team back. The problem is, nobody but Raider fans wants them back and those citizens that don't will demonstrate to prevent it from happening.

It has nothing to do with people having other things to do. That's evidenced by the television ratings in L.A. for NFL games and the fact that USC gets 92,000 per game. In a city with 4 million people, surely they can find 80,000 willing to buy tickets for eight games a year.
