About

I'm a junior majoring in English at Penn State, as well as a Jersey Shore native and die-hard Mets fan.

Short List

  • Favorite Athletes

David Wright, Endy Chavez, Jose Reyes

  • Favorite Sports Teams

New York Mets, Penn State Nittany Lions (although football isn't really my thing)

  • Favorite Coaches

    JoePa

  • All-Time Sports Moment

Endy's catch in the 2006 NLCS game 7. I watched it in a TV lounge my freshman year of college with a bunch of other fans. There was high fiving and hugging of complete strangers. Despite the eventual outcome of that game, I don't think any Mets moment has made me feel more hopeful or alive than that.

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

August 22, 2006, Shea Stadium. Pujols had hit a grand slam early on and it felt like a game we'd probably lose. While my mom and I were in line getting ice cream, we heard a crazy amount of cheering and popped back in on a lower level just in time to see Delgado hit a grand slam (his 400th homer). Then, with one out, one on, and down by a run in the bottom of the 9th, Beltran jacked a homer to win the game. I've never seen Shea shake like that before. People were honking the "Let's Go Mets" chant in the parking lot with their cars. Just thinking about that game still gives me chills.
