Drew's Bio

Hey everybody. I just heard about this site a few days ago and came to check it out. I love everything I've seen, and I'm excited to become a part of it. I believe there are fans that know more about sports, have more interesting and provocative opinions, and write better articles than many professional writers, and I can't wait to see what everybody here can do. I'm very opinionated myself, and I love to talk and debate sports with intelligent fans. I can't wait to see what we all can do!

Drew Writes About

The Short List What Drew thinks about sport's most pressing questions

  • Favorite Athletes

Michael Jordan, Kevin Youkilis, Adrian Peterson, Brett Favre, Sam Bradford, Chris Paul, Kevin Garnett

  • Favorite Sports Teams

    Boston Red Sox, Oklahoma Sooners

  • All Time Sports Moment

Michael Jordan hitting the game winning shot over Russell in Game 6 of the '98 Finals. I thought it was his last game (and it should have been).

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

In the year two thousaaaaaaaaand.....#1 Nebraska at upstart #3 Oklahoma. The Sooners 31-14 upset of the Cornhuskers to legitimize their ranking and spur them on toward OU's first national championship that I was old enough to remember.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

I believe that there are two which are equally unbreakable. The MLB record for career wins of 511 and the record for career complete games of 749, both held by Cy Young,

  • Ruth or Mays?

I'd take Willie Mays in a heartbeat.

  • Unitas or Montana?

Johnny U, baby. Toughest player ever.

  • Jordan or Russell?

Jordan. He did more to revolutionize the game than any player ever.

  • Gretzky or Orr?

I would say Gretzky, but I don't know that much about hockey. Don't judge.

  • Pele or Maradona?

Pele. Never heard of Maradona. Again, don't know that much.

  • Federer or Sampras?

Sampras until Federer breaks the majors record.

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

Tiger. Possibly the most dominate athlete ever.

  • Petty or Earnhardt?

I couldn't care less. I guess Petty, I like his hat.

  • Schumacher or Senna?

Again, I really don't care about racing. I'm not sure it's a sport.

  • Pac 10, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, or Big East?

    Big 12
