About

I have been alive for 10 of the Canadiens' 24 Stanley Cups. I grew up 10 minutes from the Montreal Forum, and we lived and breathed the Habs.

That sort of imprinting just never leaves you.

    Greetings fellow Habs community member,

The playoffs are starting in just two days, and while we are all gearing up with our lucky jerseys and our favourite beers (for those who are legally old enough), our beloved Canadiens are getting ready to make the most of the new chance that has been given to them with this playoff ticket.

    Exciting times, exciting times.

Bleacher has always been a place of gathering and debating for us Hockey fans. This time again, we will take the playoffs and our views in our own writings, with a series of articles in partnership with the Boston Bruins community (details in the following link).

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/155874-a-call-to-arms-for-bruins-and-habs-writers

So please come in and be part of it, to add to our already exciting playoffs atmosphere!

Comments, suggestions and ideas are more than welcomed on the Community Leaders’ boards. Tell us what you think, what you want to add and such!

Happy playoffs and GO HABS GO!

    Hey, how are you?

I am trying to survey our community on what we can do, regarding the All-Star game. Like tributes, roundtable articles, stuffs like that.

I kinda spread a roundtable idea around … on which player, and why him, to send there.

If u have any idea, let me know! It would be fun to work on it together!

    Go Habs,
    Miah ;)

    Hey Andrew!
Liked both your articles! I was also born in '68 and share the same feelings...
I lived in Leaf nation for a while and loved hating the leafs every minute!
There is some professor at the University of Montreal that is doing a thesis on whether the Montreal Canadiens are a religion, seriously! I know I pray on game night!!!

Yes KP, living in Vancouver and like all Canadians harbour a Fan DNA from living in different cities. Goes kind of like this: Grew up in Montreal: loved the Habs. Moved to Toronto for work: Still can't bring myself to like the Leafs unless they are in the playoffs and the Habs aren't. Hate the Flames: They beat Montreal for the Cup in '89. Adopted the HomeTown Canucks. Empathise with Oilers fans fallen on hard times: My wife grew up in Edmonton.

The Nucks wanted the site to be patterned after the homepage.

    Hello Andrew,

Not sure what you meant by "our" Canucks... I see you're a Canadiens fan. You currently in Vancouver by the way? I did manage to go to that www.playaction.tv/Canucks link. Looks good... though I didn't really click through all its pages. Looks like too late for me to sign up... there's like tons and tons of participants already. Looks good though!

That page looks just like canucks.com page, lol :)
