Born in Ottawa ON, JB grew up in Mississauga ON just outside of Toronto. A life long Leafs fan, who in recent years has started follow the other Canadian hockey teams, and the Nashville Predators.

JB is a Correspondent with the Bleacher Report, where he will cover most of the Canadian NHL Teams, the Nashville Predators and other major events in the NHL.

He also a fiction writer having written both short stories and novels.
