About

Certified (or certifiable) sports dork, particularly sports played in the Greater Boston area. Spent multiple years writing for the Boston Globe, The Eagle-Tribune and a short stint at the Metrowest Daily News. Have contributed to Cold Hard Football Facts, SB Nation, Patriots Daily and Celtics Stuff Live. If you want to chat, debate, argue or shout about anything Boston sports related, I'm your dork.

Short List

  • Favorite Athletes

Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo, Kevin Garnett, Tom Brady, Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski, Matt Light, Sebastian Vollmer, Devin McCourty, Vince Wilfork, Adrian Gonzalez, Dustin Pedroia, Kevin Youkilis, Josh Beckett, Jon Lester, Jarrod Saltalamacchia, Tim Thomas, Brad Marchand, David Krejci, a few more who don't play for Boston teams, maybe...

  • Favorite Sports Teams

Celtics, Patriots, Red Sox, UConn Huskies.

  • Favorite Coaches

Terry Francona, Bill Belichick, Doc Rivers, maybe a couple others but it's tough to think about/like coaches not leading your teams.

  • All Time Sports Moment

Game 7, 2004 ALCS. Anyone around these parts disagree? Honorable mention to Game 4, 2004 World Series, Super Bowl XXXVI, Game 6, 2008 NBA Finals.

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

Not the longest list. Probably Week 10 of the 2010 NFL season, when I went to Heinz Field in Pittsburgh and witnessed the Pats absolutely lambaste the Steelers, 39-26, while a bunch of maniacal Pittsburgh fans cried into their Steel Reserves.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

Cal Ripken. Joe DiMaggio, Wilt Chamberlain. The amount of letters in Saltalamacchia.

  • Ruth or Mays?

    Mays. That catch.

  • Unitas or Montana?

Montana. Greatest winner I ever seen.

  • Jordan or Russell?

Jordan. My era, and slightly more spectacular. Slightly.

  • Gretzky or Orr?

    Orr. Come on, really?

  • Pele or Maradona?

Pele. Nothing up his nose and never handed a ball into the net in a huge game as far as I remember.

  • Federer or Sampras?

Sampras. Less robotic. More shlumpy. That goes a long way if you're a shlump.

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

Nicklaus. Tiger was on his way - now, who knows?

  • Petty or Earnhardt?

    Um, who?

  • Schumacher or Senna?

    See above.

  • ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 or SEC?

Probably Big East just because of the Huskies and where I dwell.

Do you think Brandon Bass will come back as a Celtic? I was just wondering since he's playing so well he might want to leave to go to another team...

No problem, Jeremy. It was well written. I love writing about the NBA and I could tell it was a legit article. Keep up the good work.

Hey, would you be able to send your e mail to klangan@omnipossible.com? I want to get the B/R community leaders on a mailing list for a press release on behalf of Sports Media 101.

    Thanks
