Why Are BYU Fans Afraid of Success?
October 6, 2008
I recently moved to Sugar Hill, Georgia and I work in downtown Atlanta. I grew up in a very small desert town near San Diego, California. The city is called Borrego Springs. I played football (8-man), basketball and baseball for Borrego Springs High School. After graduation, I attended Brigham Young University. While at BYU, I was able to watch Robbie Bosco and Ty Detmer (Heisman Trophy winner) play out their careers. BYU has produced a national championship (1984), 2 Outland Trophy winners (Jason Buck, Mo Elowonibi), a Doak Walker Award (Luke Staheli), 4 Davey O'Brien Awards (Jim McMahon, Steve Young, Ty Detmer twice, more than any other school). As you can see, I am a passionate fan of BYU, (however, I am still fairly objective). After BYU, I went to law school at Seattle University School of Law.
I am married and have four kids (2 girls and two boys). I am very active in coaching my kids sports teams and participating in sports. I love to cycle (road bike), run and workout.
