Alex Warnaar commented on Predicting Arsenal's Remaining Matches:
Chelsea's run in is by far the most difficult, with games against United, Swansea, Tottenham, Everton and Villa. Plenty will rest on the outcome of the...

It would be a poor poor move not to replace RVP with a good striker if he left. Anyway, lets hope it doesn't come to that. I'm still quite hopeful.
Just to add to that - I'm fairly confident with 3 good strikers we could score as many goals as RVP did last season, if not more. The major concern for me would be around keeping Arsenal as a big name club which would still be desirable for top players to move to.
Cheers
Realistically Alex I'm hoping we keep him, but only if he wants to stay; I dont want to keep an unhappy player and lose him on a free. If we have to sell then I would be much happier if he was to leave the PL. However, if we did have to sell and City was his preferred destination (which is very improbable), then I would try to get something of value in return, and Micah Richards would be that something. Great player.
Now - as for goals; I actually think we have made 2 great purchases (including Giroud in this although not confirmed) in the striker department. If RVP leaves my gut feeling is we need another striker as a top team should have a minimum of 3 (and thats 3 viable options, not including youngsters like Campbell or Afobe). You're right in that we cannot replace RVP like for like, but with 3 good (not world class) strikers we should have options, and have the option of playing 2 out of the 3 at the same time (for example Pod can actually play from a CAM position quite effectively if required). SO we may end up losing RVP, but if we can replace him with someone like Huntelaar (no where near the same creativity) then at least we will get goals. I'm also betting on our youngsters improving gradually and more goals coming from the rest of the team (Jack/ Ramsey/ Ox, and especially Gervinho).
As for creating goals, well I'm not too worried. We managed to create enough for RVP to score a phenomenal amount, and I have confidence that we will have the strikers to bury them (at least the more clear cut chances -not expecting the RVP versus Everton/ Liverpool type of goals necessarily).
Are you sure you are an arsenal fan?! seems like you're a Spurs fan in disguise...

No worries mate
I don't really mean it in that way... I'm just trying to say that the fact your Welsh shines through because of your enthusiasm in some of your posts, thats all! :)
Not sure thats entirely fair. I know for example that you are very keen on Coquelin, and that's absolutely fair enough, he's a good player with a lot of potential. The day he starts regularly, and if he has a poor patch and ends on the receiving end vitriolic attacks suck have been thrown at Ramsey for instance I will step up my defense of him in the same way!
Come on Alex, Bale is an epic player, one I would love to see at Arsenal (fat chance) (Welsh or not).
Ramsey? I generally will stick up for all players who work hard and try 100%.
absolutely right Alex
