About

Just a regular sports fan stuck on the other side of the country away from my maize and blue :( ...I speak my mind and I make no apologies for it.

    Hey Mae,

I just wrote an article on Tim Tebow that I think you will find interesting and entertaining. Let me know what you think when you have a chance. Thanks.

Mae...thanks for responding to my post. If I came across as rude or mean, I apologize...that was not how I was trying to come across at all. I read a few of your comments, checked out your bio page, and had some (I think you would have to agree) questions that I could not figure out on my own. My Buckeyes play late and I had some time on my hands and I decided to research some Michigan fans...and you just happened to be the lucky winner (HAHA). I am trying to become a writer at Bleacher Report and really am just trying to expand my knowledge on fans and the way they think. You being a woman also made me choose to pick you as women are few and far between. Please think of me as a friend and not a mortal enemy because I am a Buckeye fan.

I decided to write for B/R when I received 2 fans but had yet to write an article as I have not yet even sent in an application. I love talking to Michigan fans but it often turns ugly. I figured you to be level headed as I like to think I am and I appreciate you contacting me so quickly. If you ever have any Buckeye questions you can normally count on me to give you an unbiased opinion.

Lastly, I was not meaning to make fun of you so there was no reason for your ouch! Obviously you are pretty damn cool and I am thrilled that you are. I hope to hear from you again as I am sure I will when I see your comments. Good luck to you and TSUN. Thanks for commenting back to me again. I really appreciate it.

Oops...one last thing. You picked Nicklaus over Tiger Woods. I don't know if you know this but it may change your answer. Do you know that Jack Nicklaus is a graduate of The Ohio State University? You also have to explain being an Oregon fan as well. Please, if just for fun...post back to me. Thanks.

Sorry to bother you but Michigan's savior, Brady Hoke is from my home town of Dayton, Ohio. Also, now that Brady Hoke is 2-0 at Michigan, do you know that his winning percentage as a head coach is now at .500? Some savior...Good luck to you and the Weasels anyway. I made a couple jokes but really was not rude. Please try to remember that if you decide to post back to me. I'm 38 and don't really like hate filled arguments. Again...good luck to you and Michigan who obviously you like more than Notre Dame. Take care.

I understand your hate for my Buckeyes. I still need to know how it is possible to have both Michigan and Notre Dame listed as favorite teams, though. If you have the time, explain that to me one day. Remember too that the best teams are always hated. Before you say that the Buckeyes are not the best CFB team, remember that the Buckeyes have gone to 9 BCS bowls and have won 6 of those bowls, which leads the NCAA in both categories. Good luck to you and your Wolverines or Irish...whichever it may be. Take care.

Mae, I saw you liked another user's comment on my column "5 Reasons NBA Fans Don't Care if the Season Starts on Time" - being as you and I are both Michigan and Detroit fans away from our teams - I'm curious what your thoughts are about a delayed season. Could it help our Pistons? I think it improves our chances of making the playoffs, and I'm too engulfed in the Lions & Wolverines seasons right now (as well as the Tigers looming playoff matchup) to care if the NBA season doesn't start until January! You?
