Nick Writes About

The Short List What Nick thinks about sport's most pressing questions

  • Favorite Athletes

Eli Manning, Mike Piazza, Ryan Church, Nick Evans, Danny "the Irish Hammer" Murphy, Johannesburg Santana, John Maine, Carlos Beltran, Joe Smith, Steve Smith, Amani Toomer, Justin Tuck, Lawrence Tynes, Shawn Green, Rick DiPietro, Jeff Tambellini, Chris Campoli, Miroslav Satan, Danilo Galanari, Brandon Witt, Jose Reyes, Steve Trachsel, Cliff Floyd, Bill Hall, Lavernious Coles, Corey Webster, Plaxico Burress, Brandon Jacobs, Alan Houston, Keith Hernandez, Ralph Kiner, Lastings "Thug Life" Milledge, David Wright, Peyton Manning, Jeff Feagles, Michael Strahan, Chris Snee, Sean O"Hara, Chase Blackburn and finally LUIS CASTILLO..... ( JUST KIDDING ABOUT THAT! )

  • Favorite Sports Teams

New York Mets, New York Giants, New York Islanders and New York Knicks

  • All Time Sports Moment

I went to a Mets game in 2008 when the Mets took on the Mariners. I went to a M's vs Mets game several years ago with my dad. It was a double header and the mets got blown out bad in both games. They alose lost a laugher to the Mariners in the game I went to this year, but it was my all-time favorite moment in Shea Stadium because we were able to move down to the very first row and a linedrive got hit right at me, but I missed it!

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

Other great Shea moments include the playoff game against the dodgers in 06 when 2 dodgers were tagged out at the plate. I was at that game and never heard shea stadium get that loud before.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

I once hit into a double play with the bases loaded and flung my helmet in disgust. Little did I know my girlfriend was about 10 feet away. The helmet came within an inch of nailing her in the head, as it sailed over the a fence and smashed into a the door of my team's catcher's car, who immediately charged me from the dugout, and across the field screaming "THATS MY CAR!"

  • Unitas or Montana?

    Elisha Manning.

  • Federer or Sampras?

    I hate Tennis.

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

    And I hate Golf.

  • Pac 10, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, or Big East?

I don't "believe" in college sports. I only watch professionals. I just can't get into college football and basketball for some reason. Maybe it's cause I'm a little jealous that I'm not on the field, or just the fact that I find it boring.
