Hey, feel free to rub it in that I was wrong because you are entitled. However, Zajac got a huge payday and there was no way he could turn it down. However, you can't fault me for going off the speculation that was starting to circulate about the potential 2013 free agents, and this was before a new CBA which curbed contracts.
However, congrats on keeping Zajac in NJ, I like him as a player and hopefully he will do good things for them.
Zajac is a talented player and he is also Parise's best friend. I doubt he comes back to NJ after this season. Lou will not let another key player walk away for nothing and that is why it has been speculated that Zajac could be traded at some point this season.
THN:
New Jersey Devils No.11
Why: The last time a Stanley Cup finalist missed the playoffs the following the season was 2006-07 when Carolina and Edmonton both went bust. The Devils are primed for a similar fall. Zach Parise has fled this sinking financial ship and although Martin Brodeur remains on board, the defense in front of him remains perilously thin. And don’t forget this team was one goal away from being eliminated in Round 1.
So explain who the Devils added that will allow them to compete for the cup this year. Did it also occur to you that the team is in bankruptcy and that lenders are currently waiting until the CBA is settled until they take action? It isn't like the Devils vastly improved and i am the only one counting them out.
There was no bias, just facts that have been documented by many others.
