My name is Julianna. I'm twenty years old and I am currently attending a junior college as an English major.
I have been watching NASCAR and any other type of auto racing since I was little. Although, NASCAR is the only auto racing that I relentlessly follow. From 2001 to the beginning of the 2007 season, I only caught a few races and I never had a favorite driver. But on August 12th, 2007, during the Nextel Cup race at Watkins Glen, something - well, actually, someone - re-sparked my interest in this wonderful sport.
I had been keeping my eye on a certain black car the entire race. The No. 11 FedEx Chevrolet of Denny Hamlin. As I was watching the last few laps of the race, hoping that someone other than Jeff Gordon was going to win (never had a favorite driver, but I have always disliked Gordon), Gordon spun himself out with two laps to go and Tony Stewart took the lead. After that, I didn't even care what Stewart was doing, I just wanted Hamlin to finish in second, right where he started.
To my surprise, I got my wish. Carl Edwards, the current second place holder, missed the turn and went sliding into the gravel, leaving Hamlin to gain his spot. I was beyond excited now, as I watched Tony and Denny come home one, two.
After the all the celebrating and interviewing was over, I went on-line and researched as much as I could about Denny, Tony, the entire Gibbs organization, and NASCAR in general.
And as the saying goes, the rest is history.
Although, when exactly I became a Kyle Busch fan is still unknown, even to me. Here's my best explanation on the matter: it just happened. KB did something last season that I, evidently, just loved - no questions asked. I can say, however, that I love Kyle today for his sarcasm, his personality, and most of all: his raw talent. You can stick that boy in any type of vehicle and he'll drive the wheels right off it - love that!
Also, I have said this many times before and I'll say it again, just so we're clear: That boy was born to make history. There's no denying that.
Anyway, I have been in love with writing since seventh grade. I love writing anything - short stories, lyrics, poems, random thoughts, and, obviously, articles. I'm sure I'll be writing plenty of articles on here, so just sit back and have a read with one of them. Don't be afraid to comment either - I love feedback.
