About Henry »

Hey everyone, I'm Henry, and I love football and baseball.

From Boston, I have spent time in both New York (which I think is the greatest city in the world) and Denver (which is a close second) and picked up my love of sports from these two cities. I love the Denver Broncos, and I love the New York Mets (even though they never cease to break my heart). I also love writing (english was always my best subject in school), and I found out about Bleacher Report from fellow Broncos writer Sayre Bedinger, and from their advertisement on Facebook, where I serve as an administrator to a Denver Broncos fan group consisting of over 13,000 members (and counting!). I am no bandwagoner or fair-weather fan... you won't see me change my loyalties when times get tough.

I'm a big fantasy football and baseball player, and I know just about every starter on every team in the MLB, and most in the NFL.

Athletically, I have played baseball, but now I am a rower, port side (for those of you who know rowing jargon) on a nationally ranked team. I started crew when I entered high school, and I have been successful at it. In spring 2009, I was named "4 seat" in a boat that would eventually place 13th in the nation in the Men's Lightweight 8+ event at US Rowing's Youth National Championships in Cincinnati. I also enjoy running track (sprinting, 100m and 400m were my best races) and skiing. Beaver Creek (Avon, Colorado) is my personal favorite mountain/resort.

Other than sports, I love traveling, especially Airplanes, and I hope to get my pilot's license soon. I enjoy photography, especially taking pictures of everyday life in cities...capturing the moment, that type of thing. I am also a big car buff.

To sum it up: I'm here to write about football primarily and baseball occasionally. I don't know enough about basketball to talk about that and I'm really not a fan of hockey, racing, or soccer. Check out some of my work, and comment if you like it, or if you don't...Either way, I'm glad you've visited my profile.

The picture is of my boat at the US Rowing youth national championships in June.

Interesting fact: I have the same birthday (day and month) as Rodney Harrison. Maybe loving the NFL is in my DNA. (Yeah, I modified that line from the Sony "HDNA" commercial).
