Growing up in Ontario, Canada, I predictably loved hockey, and the Toronto Blue Jays. But then something wonderful happened when I was about 13 or 14 - English Premiership matches started to be shown on our tv. Quickly my interest grew beyond just the World Cup, and I became familiar with all the stars of the game. At some point during this period I was watching a game featuring Liverpool. The sound of the supporters singing You'll Never Walk Alone, and the magnificence that was Robbie Fowler stole my heart and ever since then I live, breath, eat, sleep LFC. My story is a familiar one for overseas supporters - waking up at ungodly hours with a hangover on Saturday mornings to watch dour draws against Derby County. Becoming a social outcast for obsessing over a sport and a club the people around me know nothing about. And a pilgrimage to my dear Anfield - something I would list as one of the most special moments of my life. One of these days we'll win the title again, and I will be celebrating more than most others will.
thanks for being a fan, appreciate it :)
