Matthew Buening commented on Euro 2012 Friendlies Wrap:
RVP apparently can carry his form onto the Netherlands National Team. I was really hoping he wouldn't.
My name is Matthew Buening, I am 21 years old, and I live in Seattle Washington. I lived in Guatemala for six months where I learned more about the Beautiful Game, and now I am a soccer addict. I started following FC Barcelona in Guatemala after reading about their history during the Spanish Civil War and later started following FC Bayern Munich as well because of my Bavarian heritage.
I am obviously a big Seattle Sounders FC supporter and US National Team supporter. I also like the German National Team.

Lol! Sorry Matt, I'm a huge Kevin Durant fan. Plus I think Russell Westbrook is a great. But he dresses like a weirdo.
I do miss the Seattle Supersonics. I remember the days of George Karl, Shawn Kemp, Gary Payton, and even Detlef Schrempf. The mascot looked like Chewbacca. lol.
There you go- some positivity. Hey, you are a Barca fan too- so last year must have been fun. For me, my other team is Arsenal- so life is equally tough on both fronts. But, probably 90% of me is Bayern- Bayern always wins out and my love for this club is so great that it really hurts when they shoot themselves in the foot. FIFA 12-:) After 2010, I stayed away from the game until the WC kicked off. I think I will do the same until Germany takes to the field on June 9th. Its been a hard season. And I agree with the eggs being in one basket. But Bayern has a duty to fulfill in other comps. I doubt whether KHR or Hoeness will allow that.
Tell me about it Matthew- no defeat has pained me as much as this one. All day I have been in tears and calling friends who know the pain of losing. I think this is what we needed- losing like this. In 2010, the way we lost was much different. This team will not give a damn about the league or cup next season. They will come back to win CL. I would rather that Bayern does not return to the final if it means losing like this. Nonetheless, I feel for Schweini but most of all, I feel for Lahm. Next year, though, I am expecting a dull season considering its after the euros much like 2010-11. I hate the CL- it is my least favourite competition- it has given me so many aches down the years as a Bayern and Arsenal fan. But this loss hurts like no other.
Hey, how are you coping? I couldn't get out of bed this morning. But then I did and I called a United fan and he told me to take my own advice- stay away from newspapers, not watch tv etc etc. Hey, at the end of the day I am still proud. Yes, we have managed to pull off a Neverkusen. But at the end of the day, I am okay with it- We have lost two in the last three years. But we have come a long way since then. Luck wasn't on our side today. Yes, we lost in Munich, but sooner or later we will do it. I will be back against next season even though I was doubting that last night. Our team is still young- we will have another chance. I am sure of it. I am still really upset and I am really hurting but sometimes its better to be lucky than good. We deserved it but didn't get it. Its hope that keeps me alive.

Thank you for the fan add, Matthew.
Yea I felt bad for Josh when I saw that happened. I hope Josh gets time, but I think Gspuring gets the bulk of the time.
