Brandon's Bio
My name is Brandon. I live and work in Washington, D.C. I grew up in Iowa and later moved to Kansas, where I finished high school, and graduated from the University of Kansas. I majored in Political Science and History which helped me get the job I currently have on the legislative staff of a prominent member of the U.S. Senate. I am a huge sports fan, hailing from Iowa, I did not have local teams to root for, and my family was a Minnesota family, so I have forever been a Twins and Vikings fan.
Likewise, I had no NBA team to cheer for. I was always a fan of the Phoenix Suns due to the fact that my grandparents lived in Phoenix for a short time while I was growing up. Now my uncle and his family lives there and has courtside season tickets to which I have been lucky enough to be a benefactor. I have been emotionally invested in the Suns for about five years now.
Finally, I am a soccer fanatic. I didn't get into playing soccer until about 1994, but once ESPN started playing Champions League games in 1998 I've been hooked. I watched the Manchester United vs. Bayern Munich 1999 final in Barcelona and I fell in love with Manchester United. I've been following them since and don't miss a game, whether it's on TV or streaming live on my computer. Out of the sports team I vigorously follow, they are the only team I have yet to see play live. My goal is to do it before I turn 30, so I have a little over five years to get that accomplished.
Aside from my professional sports teams, I follow the Kansas Jayhawks for obvious reasons. In my youth I cheered against the Jayhawks as I was a Iowa State Cyclone fan. Once I came to KU for a visit, I fell in love. My first love is KU football, probably because I cheered so hard against those Roy Williams teams for so long. I am glad that Mark Mangino is growing the football program, and I look forward to the college football season every year. Obviously I cheer for the Jayhawks in basketball as well, the 2008 National Championship game was the best finish to a college basketball I've ever seen.
That about sums it up.

Hey Brandon.
The season's half way mark has been passed, and spurred on by a comment by Nathan Lowe I've written an article reviewing Berbatov's progress so far this season, and debate about whether he's got what it takes to replace Carlos Tevez:

I put a lot of work into it, and would really appreciate it if you gave it a read.
Regards,
Steven
