I'm a University of Wisconsin grad living in Madison and follow Badger football, hockey, and basketball (in that order, UW hoops is boring). Originally I'm from Philadelphia and have all the stereotypes and drawbacks of being a Philly sports fan. Depending on the day I either love or hate the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, and Sixers but I've never thrown anything at Santa Claus (J.D. Drew, maybe). I work for Rotowire.com as an NHL beat-writer and I also interned there for seven months. It's a great group of guys over there who know more about sports than any group of people should. I've starred (questionable) on my fraternity's flag football team for the last four years at the right tackle position and this has been the extent of my college football career. I also played for our basketball team, we didn't win very many games. As a two-sport college athlete, much in the mold of a young Bo Jackson, I feel like I can bring a new perspective to this site since I have all of the inner knowledge of what it is like to be leading an intramural basketball game on St. Patrick's Day when my entire team had been drinking for five hours beforehand (we didn't lead for very long). Anywho, I love sports and I love that I can write about them here.
I just wanted to let you know that Bleacher Report has launched out of beta with an updated look and feel and some great new features. Check out the "Game On" link in the header to find out more.
Next week we'll be launching the site to the world with some public announcements—and it'd be great to get a contribution from you between now and Tuesday to make Bleacher Report's launch a success.
Let me know if you need any help with ideas or have questions. Have a great weekend Drew!
