Dustin's Bio

To sum it up briefly, I'm an absolute basketball junkie. Though a die-hard Celtics fan, I certainly keep up with the rest of the league (as well as NCAA) as much as possible. Whether you consider it sad or not, the majority of my day revolves around basketball, whether it involve playing it, watching it, discussing it, writing about it, or what have you. Heck, I'm even an avid fan of the NBA 2k series on my XBOX 360. Fantasy basketball? I run leagues annually.

I think you get the picture.

As far as my love of the Celtics is concerned, it's all natural. Growing up in southern New Hampshire - about 40-45 minutes north of Boston - I've supported my home team as long as I've been interested in basketball (first grade). Watching the boys celebrate Green 17 was one of the most fulfilling moments I've felt, which is saying a lot, as I have no major gripes in my life.

I've written for various sites, such as CelticsBlog.com, Celtics247.com, CelticsNews.com, and BBWForums.net. Hopefully I enjoy myself here and can add Bleacher Report to that wonderful list.

The Short List What Dustin thinks about sport's most pressing questions

  • Favorite Athletes

If we're talking current, I'll say: Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Rajon Rondo, Al Jefferson, LeBron James, Deron Williams, Dwyane Wade, Jeff Green, Roy Hibbert, O.J. Mayo, and Allen Iverson (among many others).

  • Favorite Sports Teams

    Boston Celtics, Georgetown Hoyas

  • All Time Sports Moment

Watching the 2008 Boston Celtics hoist up that championship trophy, solidifying Green 17.

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

Probably March 28, 2007: Celtics vs. Magic at the TD BankNorth Garden. I was sitting up in the nosebleeds with my family, having a great time, as I watched Paul Pierce work his magic to seal a double-overtime victory.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

I don't follow any other sports, so I'll just post an NBA one: Wilt Chamerlain (100 points).

  • Jordan or Russell?

Sorry Bill, but I have to say Air Jordan.

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

    Tiger

  • Pac 10, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, or Big East?

    Big East (Go Hoyas!)

I guess that one article was enough. Sorry, I didn't realize you only wrote one article. I now see that I am ranked second after writing that one article. I guess it's a fault in the system.
Maybe it's something to be proud of? haha

  6. Hey Dustin,
Considering you're the number one Hornets writer, I figured you'd find this interesting.

  8. You're on the front page of Foxsports.com's NBA section.

  9. Congrats on the FoxSports plug.

  10. Hey Dustin,

What do you think of my new NBA Preseason Power Rankings?

    Let me know!

  11. I like the insight you've been giving, dude. I can't wait to read what you write about the Warriors.

  12. Dustin, you are tearing it up man, 30 articles, 30 days, wow I am impressed, and each one is of great quality. Good work my friend.

  13. It was already taken care of. Under your picture area, it says "Dustin's Website," meaning your site was connected with this if the check box for it was left checked. There was an extra Cavs and Mavs article with no B/R picture and that box table thing was around the depth chart like it is on your blog. I guess the site pulled a couple old ones for some reason.

As for the people tags, articles should only have people tags if the article is about that person/player. If they are just mentioned in passing or are one of several people mentioned, they probably don't need to have one. If I search Josh Howard, I should get articles on how dumb he is and stuff, but not Mavericks stories that mention him. If you have a story that's purpose is comparing two or three players, those players can all be tagged.

It's not my rule, but not many people search the site for players, anyway. Pretty much just sports and teams. The idea is to keep each tag from getting cluttered from too much kind-of-related stuff so that the specific stuff is easier to find.

Anyway, like I said, it's OK to post pictures, so sorry my fellow editor there yoinked them off. If it doesn't take any effort and you'd prefer to have them here, I say keep putting them in. I thought it looked good from what I could tell, except I might've taken out the first one so that there wouldn't be another photo too close to the B/R one at the top of the page.

Sorry again for the minor headaches...

  14. big time props to you man...a full preview of 30 teams in 30 days...thts no joke!
