TB is realizing what the lions had to realize. success starts up front. both teams are building their defensive lines. the lions need some good offensive line help, and a hell of a good safety, or corner. like I said before, the loss of leshoure was a killer. that was their power run attack. best is a reggie bush type player. freeman does have some good weapons on offense, but they aren't as good as the lions. I think their running attack is better, but stafford has better options throwing the ball. the lions have a really good receiving RB, two solid tight ends, a freak, of a WR, a really good second WR in nate, and a hopefully up and commer in titus young. why do you think blount got reduced carries? he ate the lions alive last year.
freeman doesn't have enough weapons yet. he's much better than sanchez, but sanchez was drafted by a team that almost made the playoffs. stafford and freeman were draft to build around. CJ is a beast. he's impossible to cover 1 on 1. the good news for bucs fans is that 1. it wasn't a conference game, and 2. the other teams lost too. so it wasn't that important. I think the game was much more important to the lions than it was to the bucs. that week 1 victory last vs. the bears taken from the lions on the CJ no TD call set the tone for the season.
haha. it's all in good fun. detroit allowed the 6th fewest sacks in the league last year. schwarts is a bellecheck guy. they use those quick passes and screens like running plays. it'll be nice when fairley gets healthy. oh, and talib got a gift too. that was pretty much the only blemish on stafford's stat line. he spread the ball around pretty good today, but if you had a 6'6 240 lb guy that ran a sub 4.4 40, you'd use him to bail you out as well. neither team is elite, but I think the lions can make the playoffs. they should beat the vikings twice, and split with the other two teams. I think they go into their buy week at the worst, 5-3. I would be happy with a 10 win season and no injuries. I like the fact that they are closing out games, but they got into the redzone a couple of times and settled for field goals. they need to convert those, and they can't give up those big plays on special teams. their run defense was horrific last year, but they looked good today, at least on the stat sheet. good luck the rest of the season, and go gators. yup, I do like a florida team.
good game. way to get all your points, and yards in garbage time against the prevent defense. you were right about one thing though. there was an elite on the field today. however, I was right on who he was. saints lose to green bay, carolina loses to arizona, chicago destroys atlanta, and detroit beat the bucs. who's the best division in the NFL?
