Anthony's Bio

My name is Anthony Masterson and I'm unfortunately too old to still be in Menudo. Though that hasn't stopped my lifelong dream of boy-band world domination, I'm taking some time off to do some odd jobs, namely burning the midnight oil as an employee in Minor League baseball.

I recently moved to Woodbridge, Virginia to become the new radio play by play man for the Potomac Nationals, the Single A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, so although I'm no longer breathing that fresh, clean Rocky Mountain air, I'll still be able to contribute regularly. I'm also the co-Community Leader here on Bleacher Report for the Colorado Rockies, so I'm always ready to talk Rockies.

Drop me a few comments on things you like, things you frickin' hate, things that make you wish you were Al Davis' personal assistant, and most importantly things that arouse any kind of emotion pertaining to the Rocky Mountain sports scene. Go Broncos.

  • Ruth or Mays?

Mays. No Yankees have any place in my heart.

  • Unitas or Montana?

Montana. He and Elway are the two best QBs of all time

  • Jordan or Russell?

    Larry Bird.

  • Gretzky or Orr?

I dare you to name somebody who was better than Gretzky. Go on. I dare you.

  • Pele or Maradona?

Well, Maradona's a pompous ass so I have to say Pele.

  • Federer or Sampras?

Agassi was definitely balder than both of these guys.

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

    El Tigre.

  • Petty or Earnhardt?

    Who really watches NASCAR?

  • Schumacher or Senna?

Formula 1? Really? Is the next question "Who's your favorite curler?"

  • Pac 10, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, or Big East?

    Big 10. O-H-I-O

I wrote about the Rockies on a Marlins perspective. I talked about the Marlins' frustration of not gaining ground, and I credited the Rockies for it. I also talked about how good the Rockies are.

    Get ready for another Rocktober.

  3. Huston Street was the man coming out of college. Now he's back to doing big things with the Rockies. If you have a moment, please check out my column.

  4. Former MLB player Eric Karros called my article into question on Colin Cowherd's ESPN Radio show yesterday.

He challenged me for a re-do: but here's my response.

I assure you, it's not just a ridiculous personal attack, but it shows that Karros was off-base with his statements.

I'm a Featured Columnist for the Indians here on Bleacher, and I'm polling the FCs from other MLB teams for an upcoming article on what went wrong with the 2009 Indians from an outsider's perspective.

Your participation in a brief survey for the article would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the link to the survey:

  10. I haven't heard anything from David, but if you are still interested (and have the time) I have no problem doing stuff late at night.

If you want to pick a night or something, we can both come up with some topics and go at it... maybe even pot a link to the full text.

Let me know what you think,
    Tyler

  11. Hey,

After the great success of my first article about the uniform numbers 1-10, I have come back with the next installment, with the best players to wear the uniform numbers 11-20. I hope you can take a look and even comment on my choices. Thanks in advance!
