About

I am currently an undergraduate studying at the University of California Berkeley. Football has been my true passion for as long as I can remember. After going across Europe to watch football in breathtaking cathedrals, such as Old Trafford, the Nou Camp and the Emirates, I realized that football is not only a passion, but a future. I plan on becoming the first American manager to take a top-flight English or Spanish club to the UEFA Champions League. This may be a long shot, but I know I can do it.

Care to do A tactical review of the season so far, the general trend in formations and philosophy and how this reflects in the top European Leagues. We can split the article up in two parts: You take say, the English and Spanish leagues and I can do the German, French and the Italian.

I am a fan of your highly perceptive and intriguing articles and think that you would be interested in this side of the game.

I know mate, I'm here chatting with my friends about how Netherlands and Germany can be in finals, Portugal in semi-finals or finals and they're all in the same group! Ridiculous. Absolute bullsh**, Portugal deserves a spot in the knock-out stage more than anyone in the first group. The most fair group I have seen is England's, a mix of strong and good teams.

Hey mate, did you see the Euro Cup draw?

I'm really starting to hate the format now, it's astonishing how some teams can pair up with each other.
