About mun »

I grew up in Ann Arbor MI and have been watching Big Ten Football every saturday literally for as long as I can remember. I graduated from Community High School in 2002 and attended New York University from 2002-2006, when i graduated. NYU does not have a football team, and instead of splitting time between the wolverines and the violets (I guess that was a good mascot name back in the day) I just watched UofM every weekend all four years of college. I can remember the days I had to go to Times Square (the location of the ABC studio) to watch games that were not televised in the NYC region because I was too broke to go spend money at a bar. It never failed, there would always be some fans from the opposing team there with me, watching the big screens through the windows. Despite all of the national talk that the Big Ten is down and our fans are lame, I know from experience that we have some of the best fans in the country. Wisconsin, Ohio State, Purdue and Penn State all travel very well. And OSU fans are without a doubt every bit as intense as SEC fans. I work in the field of education and also play jazz piano for a living, so unless I get hired to play tailgates I am always free on saturdays to watch Big Ten football, and I intended it to be this way. GO BLUE!!
