One Bender out. One Bender in.

Merry Christmas matey, hope all is well down under
Not sure if you got a chance to watch the MU - Everton game, but if you do get a chance watch it; Fellaini was just magnificent.
Shame about Bartley - though we would see some good things from the lad this season.
As for the other things,
I thought that Arsenal disgraced Van Persie by buying Podolski and Giroud. To me it is obvious that they only needed a back up striker and not one that puts Van Persie's place under pressure. Saying that I still think they would have been well off signing Giroud because I think he is such a top standard and complete striker who I think will thrive at Arsenal. I'm sorry but I do not think the same thing about Podolski. To me he can only do two things: dribble and smash shots into the net with power. He's also shown how medicore he is on the wings with Germany in Euro 2012.
As for Chamakh, I do not know how Afobe is not ahead of him in the packing order at Arsenal.
Again, thanks a lot for your feedback, Ben
Thanks a lot for all the feedback and the praise.
I'm sorry but we do not have a decent former Arsenal player in Thomas. In fact I think he is the worst player in our squad other than Tamas. He is so tactically unaware that he does not even know how to use his pace effectively most of the time and bar about two games a season all he does is dawdle on the ball. I think he is pathetic and I really hope he is not a starter for us next season.
Hi, I saw the videos that you posted on Phil 1stine's profile and I thought I would comment on them.
I have seen both of these players and Bartley was playing in central defence on the YouTube video that you put up, not as a left-back that you suggested. He is being wasted mostly being played as a right-back where he is consistantly getting caught out of position for Rangers. Yes, he could be a decent back-up for Arsenal next season AS A CENTER BACK.
Afobe is one I have very high hopes for. As I have posted on another article I believe that Arsenal can only consider Chamakh dead wood when Afobe starts getting some game time because at the moment he is the only back-up striker who provides a direct aerial threat which I believe is important. I do not understand Arsenal signing M'Baye Niang as he is in a similar mould and I do not know if he is potentially better than Afobe because he is only 17. Right now, Afobe is far better in my opinion.
Cheers.
Afobe is off to Birmingham on loan next season - hopefully the lad will get a good run of games in the team. I would love to see him score a shedful in the championship.
Nice link. Wenger looked a natural on the pantomime horse.
IJ wrote an article and gave you a personal mention for matured and relevant comments. As you are on sabbatical I took the opportunity to respond on your behalf with a note of gratitude
"Ga Day Cobber, cant respond in person as I'm currently Fifty K's south of Woop Woop, but I'd like to say Fair dinkum IJ, you're a bonzer dinky di writer and its been a pleasure. Going to crack open a tinnie' for ya.

I think IJ appreciated the sentiment :D
