Andy Dalton may be a great prospect, but no rookie qb is going to come in and be seen as the leader on offense when there are two pro bowlers in MJD and Marcedes Lewis along with young studs like Mike Thomas, Eben Britton, and Eugene Monroe. Also, David Garrard is the starter at QB until a replacement has been drafted and developed, not Trent Edwards. Yes, the Jaguars secondary was bad, but not worst in the league, Houston gets the nod there. If the Jaguars were to take Pouncey with their first selection, it would be more likely that he replace Brad Meester or Uche Nwaneri, seeing as Vince Manuwai was the road grating left guard that allowed the Jags to win five out of six games on the strength of their running game and move into first place in the division, before losing to the Colts.
