About

My name is Michael Gartman, I'm 18, a football fanatic, sportswriter, editor and entrepreneur.

I used to be a College Football and Houston Texans Featured Columnist on Bleacher Report. But since the New Year, I was placed on probation for commerical use (without knowing I needed permission) and then had to submit an application to writer again...where I was declined...twice.

So along with a few of Bleacher Report's most popular, passionate, talented and respected writers, I started my own website on 1/11/11 dedicated to everything American Football.

We're going to turn our dreams into a reality and have loads of fun in the process. Check us out at http://gridirongrit.com/

---------------------------------------------------------------
During my time on B/R, my work was linked to and/or featured on SFGate, CBSSports.com, NationalFootballPost.com, SeattlePi, Chron.com, USAToday and NFL.com.

I was also a requested featured guest on CBSSports Radio (SportsRadio 610 KILT Houston) on July 3, 2010.

---------------------------------------------------------------

I'm homeschooled and reside in Tuscaloosa, AL. I plan on moving to the Houston/Corpus Christi area in the not-so-distant future.

I'm blessed w/ a God-given writing skill and not going to let it go to waste. Since my 50th article, I've written a Bible verse with each new post.

This is just to show my love and glory for my Savior, Jesus Christ, and hope it will one day sinspire someone else to speak out without fear of rejection and bless others with the Truth.

If you would like any advice on anything (sports, writing, life, or faith, ect.), I would be more than happy to assist. I also enjoy soaking up advice like a sponge from others who have experience in the world of sports journalism.

For any assignments requests or potential gigs, send a message via B/R, Fan Huddle http://fanhuddle.com/afcsouth/ Facebook http://www.facebook.com/pages/My-Dads-Son/132885193416367 follow on Twitter https://twitter.com/_My_Dads_Son_ or send me an email michaelgartman@comcast.net.

You can still find my work on the Houston Texans, here: http://www.nfltouchdown.com/author/gartman/.

(Note: To my understanding, you're not allowed to get player autographs if you have a contract under a major media outlet, but I had no contracts at the time of the signings.=)
