Jamal's Bio

Jamal is an 18-year old undergraduate at Washington University in St. Louis. His first love was basketball, and football has recently polevaulted the other sports into second.

His dream job is to be an NBA or NFL GM (Nuggets, Bulls, Rams, or Vikings), and second at this point is a sports writer. The backup plan as of now looks to be financial advising.

His favorite type of writing is creative, with a sports theme, and fantasy football (and perhaps basketball) is second.

The first one I can think of is Eli Manning-David Tyree in the SuperBowl... That whole play was ridiculous.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

Wilt-100 points. We don't even have visual proof that it happened. I hope I'm wrong about it being broken, and if it is any time in the near future, my money's on Kobe doing it.

  • Jordan or Russell?

    Jordan. I'm young.

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

    Tiger

  1. I am surprised by the number of people who actually want to reserve the right to bad-mouth their teams! I offer constructive criticism, of course, but one in particular wants to be able to say, "they suck," if they do.

I don't get it. Will YOU take the pledge?

  2. Hey Jamal,

Please check out my slide show. Yes I'm shamelessly trying to win the i-pod touch. But please help me out anyway.

    Thanks.

  3. Jamal, can you give me a buzz when your week 11 positional rankings are up?
    Thanks.

  4. Hey Jamal, just posted the awards article. Check it out and make edits as you see fit.

  5. Hey Jamal, trying to put together the awards article, any quick thoughts and reasons for some of these pieces? You can either email them to me or post them to my board.

MVP, LVP, Waiver Wire Hero, Most Overrated, Most Likely to Drop Off, Most Likely to Comback Strong, and the one thing you wish you knew on your draft day.

  6. James, let me know when another fantasy article goes up!

  7. Congrats on the Sportsline pick!

  8. Had to delay to get all the responses, but the community piece is finally up on what former studs will return to studliness in the second half of the season.

    Thanks for contributing to it.

  9. Next week is the halfway point of the Fantasy Season. Let's hand out some awards! Categories are: MVP, LVP, Waiver Wire Hero, Most Overrated, Most Likely to Drop Off, Most Likely to Comback Strong, and then one thing you wish you knew on your draft day. Send nominations and reasons to elmhurstpubroundtable@yahoo.com or post them to the Roundtable bulletin board.

  10. Well, you're definitely welcome.

You can pick either of those guys if you expect them to keep it up. I'm looking to compile a list of several players that we think will jump back to their fantasy production from last year in the next few weeks, not just guys who have one week here or there at their old status if that helps explain what I am looking for a little better. For example, if you think Braylon Edwards will start scoring TDs like he did last season, you can use him. You don't have to give me too much, but feel free to write more if you wish.

I am hoping to compile the article next week. If you could send your pick and explanation to me sometime this weekend, that would be perfect.

  11. Hey Jamal - Also, thanks for becoming a fan.

  12. Jamal - If you're interested, I'd love to include your input in our latest feature for the fantasy football section. Check my community leader shout box (lower right of the fantasy football section page) and shoot me an email with your take on which dud of a stud will bounce back this season. (jacob @ fantasyfootballfools.com)

  13. Jamal,

Just wanted to let you know I'm here to help you whenever you need. Drop me a line anytime, big fella. I'm diggin' your first two articles, keep it up!

    Ben
