A mild mannered man who through the strange cocktail that is sports and the Internet becomes highly opinionated and somehow even more handsome.

My sports interest are baseball and hockey for two totally different reasons.

I been around baseball all my life. I lived and breathed it for years. This long study gives me a very scholarly view of the game. Baseball appeals to a meticulous side of me that yearns for statistics and perfect timing.

On the other hand, hockey came into my life suddenly with the Panthers run to the Stanley Cup in 1996. Having been born and raised in Florida, the idea of playing a game that is dependent on skating around on a sheet of ice seem completely bizarre. The whole game seemed like something from Mars. Even so, I was intrigued by this odd little sport from...Canada was it? I have watched hockey off and on since I was introduced to it, but with my move to Southeast Florida, I plan to take a more active approach.

Now I also add NBA to the resume. Living as I do in South Florida now, I have taken to watching the Heat as well.
