A life-long sports fan from Biddeford, Maine, Mason graduated from Cornell University with an engineering degree and a highly mediocre intramural sports resume. He is unable to remember the one thing his wife asked him to do today but can name every member of baseball's 3,000 hit club and all six schools that Syracuse defeated on its way to the 2003 NCAA Basketball Championship.

In an attempt to direct his "useless" sports knowledge and energy to some form of use, he concocts the occasional sports article in his spare time, delivered to you through the Bleacher Report. He resides in Western New York near Rochester, providing the ideal climate for countless hours of indoor college basketball watching.
