Boston Red Sox: Take the Good with the Bad

Lifelong Diehard Red Sox fan. One of my earliest memories was the ball going through Buckner's legs in 1986, yet I didn't have to forgive him in 2008 since I never blamed him. McNamara on the other hand will never be forgiven. 2004 is not explainable.

I never liked soccer growing up. Sure I played in a youth league, but who cared? It was soccer! When I moved to Portland though that all changed. The Timber Army's spirit is contagious! Now I find myself lobbying for an MLS team here.

Favorite Athletes

Bird, Williams, Pedroia, Russell, Youkilis (yeah, I'm a bit of a homer), Armstrong, Samuelson... I'd count Ortiz but frankly I don't consider a DH to be an athlete.
Favorite Sports Teams

Boston Red Sox, Portland Timbers (USL-1, soon to be MLS), Boston Celtics, Portland TrailBlazers, anybody who beats the Yankees, Oregon State University
All-Time Sports Moment

2004. The whole damn thing.
Most Memorable Game Attended

2004 ALCS Game 5. Hopefully I don't have to explain why. A close second would be the 1999 All Star Game at Fenway.
Most Unbreakable Sports Record

Cal Ripkin Jr.'s consecutive game streak. If it is broken, there is no way it will be in my lifetime.

Pele. He may hold the distinction as the only athlete who brought down an entire league by retiring.

Sampras. Words can not express how much I hate Federer.
Tiger or Nicklaus?

Golf is not a sport.
Petty or Earnhardt?

Neither is nascar.
Schumacher or Senna?

Or any other form of auto racing.
