I have been a sports fan ever since 1986 when Will "the Thrill" Clark broke upon the scene with the San Francisco Giants. Both my parents were sports nuts. My father, from Boston, talked everything about Ted Williams and the Red Sox. My mother on the other hand grew up watching Felipe Alou, Orlando Cepeda and Juan Marichal along with all the other Giants' greats of that era.
In a way, I had no choice but to be a sports fanatic.
I received a Bachelor's Degree in History from Santa Clara University and loved both research and writing. Combining my education with my obsession with sports, I decided to write about the teams I followed and the various issues and topics pertaining to them.
I started my sports writing career with Bleacher Report in 2011 after a friend of mine told me I needed to take my desire to a new level. I have never looked back. While I relish at all I have been able to accomplish up to this point, I still strive to learn more and present the best content I can.
BTW my email is email@example.com, so please email me
Hi! My name is Aidan. I'm a 7th-grade student t a private school in Nashville, TN. I am also a Giants and 49ers fanatic, and I'm doing a persuasive paper about whether baseball has lost its popularity. I was wondering what was your stance on this, and what is some evidence to back it up that it indeed has lost its popularity. Thank you, and I hope to hear back from you.
My pleasure, Peter. And thanks for the well-wishes! It's not looking too good for the Cubs after Game 2, but I'll hold out hope—feels like the Mets came out of nowhere this year.
Hey Peter, my name is Jacob Violante and I am a producer at 95.7 The Game. I was wondering if you would want to be a guest on the Towny and Zakariah show this Wednesday 10/14 around 9:30 pacific time. We would call you and have you on with Chris Townsend and Zakariah Slendlebrook. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any interest. Thanks and keep writing some great Bay Area articles
You're welcome, Peter! Always glad to help. Have a great week!
Hey, Peter. You're more than welcome. As for the tweets in slideshows, you're not the first to get in touch about it this summer! It was something I was told when I first joined B/R, but it seemed to be being overlooked recently. I asked what the deal was a few months ago and was told they're not compatible across all platforms in slideshows so we should still remove them. I'm not sure if something is being worked on to resolve this issue, but that's where we are at the mo. Nice one.
You're welcome, Peter! No problem!

Always a pleasure, Peter!
Sure thing, Peter. Good to see more of your stuff.
