Co-writer for the 3 year old http://detroit4lyfe.com blog that I created with two of my best friends. It was originally an 'open' blog but it gradually developed into a sports blog because sports is predominantly what I think about. I am a die-hard Detroit fan, so naturally a greater number of my subjects will gravitate there.

    Hi Bob,
    What do you think about Stephen going to Golden State? I am also reading rumors that The Phoenix Suns wants him in a trade for Amare Stoudemire. So it seems like our boy is in a little bit of limbo land right now. I know he was disappointed not to go to the knicks. Oakland is a little far from his home base... but I guess a couple of mil in the bank helps ease the pain. I have been reading that he was awesome in workouts. I am still getting used to the idea that he won't be back at Davidson. My daughter is thrilled that he texted her with his "new" cell number. The "real" friends can now feel superior to the riffraff I guess! Reports have it that Davidson got great freshman recruits. Do you know anything about that? Hope you are having a good summer.     Daughter says that McKillop says its not true what draftexpress is reporting. Not sure what THAT means. Not true that he's going? or not true that he's calling a press conference? or not true about the prospects for this year as apposed to next? The students all think he is staying, so I'm with you. Let's hope he proves them all wrong. He is better than those guys so why couldn't he go high next year too? Lets hope that the Davidson pull is strong enough to keep him where he belongs one more year. I'll let you know anything else I hear...please do the same for me. Thanks, e

    Thanks Bob for the update. Though it makes me very sad. I know it has been a hard decision for him. Daughter went to a fun party at their apt the other night and has seen SC a lot lately but he isn't saying anything. Sad for Davidson. His friends will miss him. I was afraid of this when there wasn't any news for so long...
    I hear we got a good recruiting class, including Steve Rossiter's cousin?
    Daughter met a couple of them .

    I called daughter to tell her of the hoax. She was eating lunch in commons. Everyone still thought it was true. She relayed the news and I could hear a growing rumbling elation through commons as the news was passed on.

    Oops. Apparently it was a hoax by a Duke grad student (and davidson alum). He posted a false announcement on the Davidson website somehow. I went to the charlotte observer when I didn't see the announcement on the website and found the story about the hoax. Doesn't mean he's NOT going....just no official announcement yet one way or another. sorry for the misinfo....
