Thank you for visiting my profile.
My wife and I are North Carolina natives and graduates of North Carolina State University. I am second generation "Wolfpack." My father earned our family's first college degree in 1953 via WWII GI Bill.
Professionally, I have enjoyed a successful career serving GlaxoSmithKline (glâx-o-smith-klīn) as a project manager within it's Global Manufacture & Supply division. GSK demonstrates it's trust in me by investing in professional development and sending me wherever needed (United Kingdom, Europe, South America Etc.)
My professional experience is pertinent since it has exposed me to many sport cultures. Attending English Premier League football matches is quite an experience (Newcastle United in Newcastle, UK.). The crowds, the passion, atmosphere, action, pageantry, and facilities testify WE (humanity) share a love of competion. Hatred of referees is also universal! I may have the privilege of watching a Wales Rugby match this Autumn.
Howie Long said it best, "Baseball may be America's pastime but, Football is America's passion." Despite my 'Tobacco Road' birth place every other sport comes a distant second. Let there be no doubt: I love football and it begins with NC STATE WOLFPACK. College (NCAA) football is closest to my heart. I also enjoy Sundays as a gentlemanly-rabid Panthers fan.
As our Britsh cousins would say, (raising a pint toward one another), ”Cheers all. Here's to a great match, in the cold, in the rain, with the wind. Here's to hating one another for the next few hours. Salute and SOD-OFF!” :-)
